With over seven combined decades of advising businesses how to plan and succeed, Helen Plowman and Richard Chew have worked with hundreds of business managers, directors and owners across the private and public sectors.

Helen Plowman

A strategic marketing professional with over three decades of experience in turning ideas into strategies that drive growth.

With a strong corporate background, Helen has the business underpinning to understand strategic goals and the imagination and conviction to build a roadmap to achieve them.

Her experience spans in-house corporate marketing roles, including Senior Marketing Manager for a division of Siemens,  to agency-based work dealing with a broad range of clients across multiple sectors.

Helen spent time working in the Far East where “adventure” was sometimes just ordering lunch! In the Philippines, her daily commute to a client’s power station was by helicopter, taking off from a 20-story skyscraper.

Helen’s career was founded on a degree in Businesses Studies, with specialist modules in Economics, Business Law and Finance, at what was then Leeds Polytechnic, followed by a Diploma in Marketing.

RICHARD CHEW

Over four decades of steering both public and private sector clients through the most complex mazes of operational challenges and crises, as a core member of their decision-making team.

As a health and care communications specialist,

Richard has guided core participants, victims and lawyers at some of the UK’s biggest public inquiries.

His work has routinely seen him deal with media ranging from Newsnight to The Sun; Panorama to BBC Radio 4. His long-standing private sector clients range from independent schools to a Middle Eastern Sheikh!

Richard’s career began with journalism training in Sheffield, developing a knowledge of law, local government and 100wpm shorthand … alongside fellow trainee Jeremy Clarkson!

Richard first honed his communications skills and media insight in a decade-long career in journalism, predominantly at Yorkshire Post newspapers.
