Do you run a West Yorkshire community organisation?

Did you know, you could be eligible for a grant of up to £50,000 to improve the quality of lives?

The West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) is offering grants of up to £50,000 to enable groups to become cycling and walking hubs.

Particularly designed for inclusivity, the grants will provide support for people to access cycling and walking, typically through low-cost bike hire schemes, supplying walking and cycling equipment, reduced-cost bike repairs and servicing, or route information.

Tracy Brabin, Mayor of West Yorkshire, commented: “This investment will enable community groups to help more people reap the benefits of walking, wheeling and cycling.

“By choosing active travel as a way of getting around our region, we’re improving our health and wellbeing as well as tackling the climate emergency.

“I’d encourage all those eligible to apply for this funding as we look to build a greener, better-connected West Yorkshire.”

Applications are now open – you can apply for this funding up until 23:59 on Sunday 29 June.
